Welcome! My name is Yahaira Aguilera and I been living in Fort Worth, Texas for the past 20 years. I recently graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in December 2021 with a Master's of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Generalist with Bilingual Certification) from Tarleton State University in May of 2018. I cannot wait to the day that I hear adult learners say, "Dr. Aguilera you inspire me..."
Working as a bilingual teacher assistant for Fort Worth Independent School District and after completing my field experience hours I reassured my vision about becoming a bilingual teacher. Fast forward to six years later. I am still enjoying being in the classroom with young learners but now I am currently working as a dual language two-way teacher for Fort Worth Independent School District. I have discover my strong leadership skills throughout my time as a teacher. Leading committees, clubs, meetings and other events at our campus have been only valuable and unforgettable experiences. I am determine to make a difference in the students' life, assist all type of learners to help them reach their full potential, and prepare students for the rigors of higher education. I am prepare to teach all type of learners, create a safe, fun, and productive learning classroom environment. I do not believe I know it all, I believe learning is continuous, therefore, when I am curious about something, I ask, investigate, or research. |
