As technology evolves students' knowledge about technology is increasing. Students are entering the classroom knowing a variety of technology techniques. I have learned so much about technology tools that can be used in the classroom to assess, engage, and enhance the student’s knowledge. During my field placements and work experiences, I have implemented a variety of technology tools into my lessons. There are many technology tools, but my top five technology tools are as follows:
Kahoot
Nearpod
Chatterpix
Socrative
Class Dojo
Padlet
Kahoot has become one of my favorite technology tool to use in the classroom. I used Kahoot several times throughout my field placements, and work experiences. Recently, I used Kahoot as a formative assessment to assess student's prior knowledge of orthographic patterns and rules. I can also use Kahoot to assess student's prior knowledge of other content areas. Kahoot can also be used to assess students ongoing learning. I truly enjoyed using Kahoot because it gave me instant data. The teacher can use Kahoot in four different interactive ways:
Quiz
Jumble
Discussion
Survey
Another of my favorite technology tool is Nearpod. I enjoyed using Nearpod to delivered lessons because it allowed for student interactions. In the classroom the teacher creates presentations that include:
Quiz's
Polls
Videos, Images, Drawing-Boards
Web Content
Open-ended tasks
Live lesson
Sharing resources
By using Nearpod in any of these ways it allows for individual or groups interaction and disturbing resources. Also it can be use as a formative assessments. Nearpod has been a golden technology tool I have use in my class room frequently.
